Hanes y Pridd
Community, food, and land — reconnected.
Hanes y Pridd (meaning “the story of the soil” in Welsh) is a community-focused education and food project based here at Pentrefelin. Run by LandLinked CIC, the project exists to help people reconnect with where their food comes from — and to build a more resilient, local, and regenerative food system from the ground up.
What We Do
Hanes y Pridd acts as a learning hub — offering hands-on experiences that connect people to land-based skills, ecological food production, and seasonal eating. From farm tours to foraging, butchery to soil-building, we aim to share both knowledge and nourishment.

We Host:
-
Educational visits for schools and community groups
-
Workshops on regenerative farming, cow-and-calf dairying, agroforestry, and more
-
Collaborative events with growers, chefs, and educators
-
Volunteer opportunities for those who want to get involved
Whether you’re a food producer, a student, or just someone curious about where their food comes from, Hanes y Pridd offers a welcoming space to learn and connect.

Why it Matters
We believe that farming can be a force for good — not just environmentally, but socially too. Hanes y Pridd helps make that real by inviting people onto the land, sharing tools and skills, and inspiring the next generation of farmers, growers, and food citizens.
