Farm Tour

Join us for a guided walk around Pentrefelin to explore how regenerative practices, permaculture principles, and traditional livestock systems come together to produce nutrient-dense food in harmony with nature.

You’ll see:

• Rotational grazing in action with our Red Poll cattle

• Mobile pasture poultry systems following the herd

• Organic fruit and veg growing by Smithy Farm

• Native woodland, pollinator strips, and foraging areas

• Our micro-dairy and on-farm processing setup

Tours usually end with seasonal tasters and time to ask questions.

Cow & Calf Micro-Dairy Course

This immersive full-day course is perfect for those interested in starting a small-scale, ethical dairy.

The day includes:

• Morning milking and cow-calf management routines

• Parlour hygiene, cleaning protocols, and equipment overview

• Hands-on milk processing (filtering, bottling, cooling, compliance)

• Lunch from the farm: our own beef, dairy, eggs & vegetables

• Afternoon session on paperwork & legal requirements

• Evening herd management and grazing walk

You'll leave with practical knowledge, handouts, and real insight into what it takes to run a direct-sale dairy. Maximum 6 participants for a focused experience.

A Place for Learning

Pentrefelin is also home to Hanes y Pridd — a community education project run by LandLinked CIC. Through this platform, we’ll be developing more opportunities for people to learn about regenerative farming, food production, woodland management, foraging, and more.

We’ll be announcing new workshops and collaborative courses soon, including:

• Seasonal foraging walks with The Wild Food People

• Community skill shares, talks, and open days

• Hedge laying, compost making and veg growing
