Christmas 2025 Beef Box (Pre-orders now being taken)
At Pentrefelin, we rear a traditional heritage breed of cow developed in the late 1800s-celebrated for its dual-purpose qualities. These cattle thrive on a 100% grass-fed diet and are perfectly suited to our micro dairy system, producing rich, nutrient-dense milk and beautifully marbled, flavourful beef.
The beef in these boxes comes from male calves born and raised right here on the farm. These steers are reared slowly on pasture as part of our low-input, regenerative approach to farming. The result is exceptional quality beef with depth of flavour and integrity you can taste.
We’re expecting our next batch of beef boxes to be ready towards the end of December (weekend of the 20th/21st)

Large Red Poll Beef Box – Approx. 6.5–7.5kg of Beef
A generous selection of our 100% pasture-fed Red Poll beef, including:
1.2–1.6kg of prime steaks(e.g. Fillet, Ribeye, Sirloin or Rump)
2.0–2.5kg roasting joint(Topside, Silverside, Brisket or another slow-roast cut — may be one large joint or two smaller joints depending on carcass balance)
1.0–1.2kg braising beef(Shin, Chuck, Short Rib or similar slow-cook cuts)
2.0kg mince or diced beef(usually 4 × 500g packs)
Total weight: minimum 6.5kg
Box contents vary slightly with each carcass, but every box includes a fair balance of premium cuts, slow-cook favourites and everyday staples — always great value, always true to the animal. 
Small Red Poll Beef Box – Approx. 3.5–4.0kg of Beef
Perfect for smaller households:
500–700g of prime steaks(Fillet, Ribeye, Sirloin or Rump)
1.0–1.3kg roasting joint(Topside, Silverside, Brisket or another slow roast cut)
500–700g braising beef(Shin, Chuck, Short Rib or similar)
1.0kg mince or diced beef(usually 2 × 500g packs)
Total weight: minimum 3.5kg
As with all our boxes, weights and exact cuts vary slightly depending on how the carcass balances, but you will always receive a generous mix of cuts and guaranteed minimum weights.Why box contents vary: Our beef boxes are built from whole Red Poll carcasses, nose-to-tail. Each animal is slightly different, and we don’t standardise or reprocess cuts to force them into identical box shapes. This means some joints or packs may be a little bigger or smaller, but every box is packed by total weight so you always get the correct value — and often a little extra. Selling this way allows us to respect the animal, reduce waste, and give you better beef at a fairer price.
