Through carefully chosen bloodlines, Pentrefelin
Stud prides itself on producing and breeding animals with the correct
conformation, type and quality to perform in all equine disciplines, be they
in-hand, riding or driving competitions. They must have kind even
temperaments, with the scope and length of stride to compete on equal terms
with larger breeds of horses, and the Welsh cob has always been prized for
it's soundness and versatility, making him an idea family horse. Our
broodmares have been carefully chosenwith all these
factors in mind and are deep bodied cobs with plenty of heart room.
Pentrefelin Stud has produced 4 Royal Welsh 1st
prizewinners, winning the University College of Wales Novice Broodmare
Trophy, for 2 consecutive years.
Stock bred and owned by Pentrefelin has won many major
championships in the UK and abroad.
Pentrefelin Stud still holds the World Record
Price at auction for a Welsh Cob of £17,000 which was achived for the sale
of our young mare Tardebigge Estelle, who was a daughter of our senior
stallion Pentrefelin Taliesin. We where awarded the Brightwells champage
moment for this sale.
We have topped the sale and been consistantly
